My husband came back home to move me out to SC last week so I havent been on here for awhile! But I just wanted to let some of you Nuke moms know how awesome your sons are! 9 out of the 12 people that came with my husband here helped us unload our truck when they could have been out doing things on liberty! Needless to say we will be having a big cookout for everyone who helped this weekend!

Janet(dereksmom21), sorry feel weird not calling you by your name chick!  Thinking I have actually gone 2 days without talking to "D".  He has his room to himself now, other 2 guys went somewhere else.  His liberty wasn't what he wanted over the weekend because of all the rain but he and Katlin are planning their first together since PIR.  They are doing alot of skyping. Please tell me if you had trouble with your pendant, Katlin's had to be replaced :(  Working on more for other military friends Mothers.  Need to do my own with "D" official pic.  Hugs! Cindy

Cathy379, my son is at A School in GL (PIR 4/20) for ET. Is your son on hold for A School or ATT. I am not sure if OS take ATT or not (I assume they might be). ATT is a basic electronic course that is given before they actually start A School and teach everyone that a thing-a-ma-jig is a thing-a-ma-jig not a watch-ma-call-it.  It puts those that use it and those that fix/install it on the same page.

There can be a wait for school to start and before my son started ATT the motto was "Join the Navy. Turning out 300+ janitors a week." :)

Hi cindyship11 div 168-- Glad to hear that your "D" is an E3 now also.  My "D" started bootcamp as an E3 so that is awesome that your "D" is an E3 now as well.Had to ship his xbox and civilian clothes so they will be there ready for him when he phases up in a week. It is great that our kids will be going through this next journey together.

Keep in Touch--Janet

txbabydocmom- That is such awesome news that your son is finally about to start back on his training. Wish things would have been different and he could have graduated with us on the 1st but please keep us posted on his acheivements. We are proud of him to keep fighting for the appeal to be approved.

onatalie64...my son is in SC also, he is an ET.  I and several other moms on here have joined "Nuke Moms"...I think you will find that there is a LOT less activity on the A-school groups than you were used to with the boot camp group.  That is mostly because we can talk to our sailors often and we can have them answer questions for us rather than only talking amoungst ourselves.  I know that there are a lot of great folks on the nuke mom site and they are ready and willing to answer questions and to help with suggestions on places to stay if you are visiting the area.  I look forward to seeing you on that group, feel free to friend me if you would like.
