OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Prayers to you and your family MLDD. You ad your husband must have a very strong bond to sustain such an awful tragedy right when the marriage started.

If I could go anywhere to eat tonight it would probably be The Hurricane in Kennebunkport, Maine. We ate there during our honeymoon. The food was interesting to say the least but we had a wonderful time together that night. We also had two dinner coffees we still make occasionally now, punk munk (kalhua and frangelico) and his was dueling Irish men ( baileys and Jamison's).

My son is still waiting to start classes at Fort Sam but will start socp classes on Monday.

Yes ship 14- my daughter's already bored! Lol she was hoping to start class this week but instead she will be volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. Guess that's something, but I don't want her to lose momentum!

Thanks MMLD....it is one thing if they are in class for that amount of time, but waiting that long will be so boring!

I would ask for your prayers tonight. Today would have been my step son, Ryan's, 20th birthday. He was killed in a roll-over automobile accident that threw him and my 15 year old step daughter from the vehicle. Holly suffered a broken pelvis in 3 areas, broken collare bone and bruises and scrapes. Ryan was killed on impact. My 3 year old daughter suffered a broken arm, their mother, who feel asleep while driving, didn't sustain any injuries. This happend just hours after their dad's and my wedding. We have wonderful memories of that last night with Ryan but this first birthday is hitting us hard.

Question for the day/evening! If you could go anywhere to eat tonight, where would you go and what would you have?

I would re-live a child hood memory and go to Casa Bonita in Denver. It was such a fun place with cliff divers and a mock Mexican village and caves to explore. Not sure what I would eat, as the food wasn't that great!

Evening Ladies! Its been a rough few days and I haven't had the chance to get on here. I miss you all!!!!
I talked to my daughter at P-Cola. She is AO. She says what she's heard is that the classes are backed up and it could be 2-4 months before they class up. I'm not sure why they can't give them a date but it seems to be a day by day thing. If that is the case, I'm not sure how they work leave time.especially around the holidays. Will keep you posted with any info I get!

Question for all of those who have Pensacola AO Sailors....we heard a hundred different things since he arrived there after PIR.  The latest being that he could be there for up to 4 months as some of the current AO's are still waiting on hold to get their leave granted since graduating A school.  What are you hearing from your Sailors in P-cola?  I guess it is best to just forget a schedule and go with the flow!  :)  The board is very quiet anymore....used to take me an hour to catch up each day!  :)
