OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Thanks Sherry and Mike's mom....I held back my tears while I was on the phone with him but the moment I hung up the emotions took over. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. I am going to try to get some sleep but don't think I will get much tonight. And I thought the sleepless nights were behind me. But I guess when you have kids you will always have sleepless nights.

Dylan's mom I know how you feel to an extent. I say to an extent because this happened to me while my son was in college and I could bring him home. Now we sadly don't have that option so I know it must be harder. If you need someone to talk to let me know. The story is too long to post here.

Ok so my fondest memory would be when my son was about 1 1/2 or 2 he would run around the house in his diaper and have water guns in his diaper. He would use his diaper as a gun holster. It was just too cute.

In another note I am sending out a TazNavyan Momster prayer request for my son as everything has finally hit him all at once today and he is feeling a little bit overwhelmed with it all. It broke my heart when he called me this evening and broke down. I told him it would be okay and that if he needed it could let it all out to me and boy did he. I just wanted to hop on a plane to get to him so I could give him a big hug. I know he will be alright in time just a little worried now.

one of my fondest memories of my sailor: when he learned to talk, he would never say the word yes, it was always " i do".. still to this day, I am not sure where he heard it but we sure got a good chuckle out of it while he was saying it... :) just imagine a toddler running around, you ask him a question and he says " I do" instead of yes... hope you all got a small chuckle too...

Sherry Has your sailor mention hanging out with my sailor? His name starts with a A.

My fondest memory of my sailor. He was about two years old and I use to dance with him to the Celine Dion song "Power of Love". We would snuggle and then I would surprise him and dip him. He would giggle so loud. I just heard that song last night and it brought a flood of emotions. I started crying again. I thought I was ok. Guess not.

Mabolt I don't think we got the chance to talk about where our sailors were going. But so far I think he's happy there.

MamaD I have pics on my Facebook page you can look at if you like.

Kira sounds like you have an awesome and very thoughtful daughter.

My fondest memory....I have so many! But when he was in first grade they were making Christmas presents for their parents but we have to buy the fabric. So I took him out to get the fabric and he chose a bright pattern with M&M's all over it. This totally baffled me and he wouldn't tell me what it was. He would bring the project home and sit against his bedroom door so I couldn't come in and work on it. It turned out to be a Christmas bulb. The fabric was cut into tiny squares and the poor kid had to push the fabric into the styrofoam ball with a toothpick! I do believe I cried when I opened it because I knew how hard he worked on it and how hard it was for him not to telle what it was. To this day that ornament all the others he and his sister have made me hang on our tree every year. Its a tradition for them to hang their ornament they made and have been given to them through the years. We they have their own homes I think I'm gonna have to buy more ornaments!
