Is everyone else as happy as I am that we can get daily electronic communication? Yay for that. It feels like she's not in prison anymore. Plus I got her address yesterday for mailing stuff to her. Yay Yay for that.
Question: I see that she put her rating as "AA" (Airman Apprentice) but she is in the Aviation Electronics Technician (ATI) path. Is everyone an AA before they get to be an AT?
Changed my name also. Great idea MLDD and added his rating also like Modesto! Does anyone elses computer give them a hard time on this site? Mine freezes and spins and says High CPU usuage everytime I come on here. Not sure why?
I changed my name... added in her rating as well.
As for my 5 things... I'm still overwhelmed so it was hard to come up with 5
1, More contact.
2, More contact.
3. More contact
4. More contact
5. Seeing her at PIR (and more contact)
Good idea:)
Hey girls, was just thinking that maybe it would be cool if we changed (or added onto) our names so that our sailor's location is in our name. example: MLDD: Pensicola
What do you think? That way it will be easier to see where everyone "is".
Question of the Day. Five things that make you the most happy right now?
1) That Boot Camp is OVER!!
2) That I can text him and talk to him pretty much anytime.
3) How proud myself, family and friends are of him.
4) Seeing how happy he is and proud of himself.
5) Knowing that I will be seeing him in 2 weeks when we bring his car up to him!
Hello Ladies!!
I got home late Sunday night and took Monday off to recover from all the emotions. I miss my daughter again but I am glad to be home. At least I have more contact with her now. She texts me every moment she can. It is so much nice to sit and wait through the day for a text message then to sit and wait through the week for that batch of letters to come. My daughter did say that I have to still write her letters and mail them to her. She loved getting letters. Made her feel special and loved for what she is doing. My sweet little girl is now a beautiful woman. I am very proud of her. She has really amazed me in her choices to do what she is doing and her strength to get through it all. Please continue to pray for her and all of our Sailors as they progress through A school.
I do have another request: I have a young half brother, 36. This morning I got a message from his mother that he is very sick with heart problems and has intestinal abscesses. He has no insurance at the moment and was laid off his job a while ago. The worst part is our father died at a very young age do to heart problems. He was 36 when he had a heart attack and passed away. My brother seems to have taken on the same health problems our dad did. So please pray for him. I know prayer works. I have seen it work so many time. The more that pray the louder it's heard. I have only had the pleasure to meet my brother once, just a month ago even. I did not know of him untill 3 years ago. I'm not ready for him to leave me yet. I need my brother.
MMLD.... my daughter send me her address this morning.. I will send it to you so that you can see the format of how its supposed to be written if you'd like. You can match it up with your daughters address
Good to know! Thanks Sherry, I hadn't even thought about that.
