Lukes Mom: you are welcome and you are not alone, we just need to take comfort in the fact that we raised them to be independent, to know right from wrong, and gave them the confidence they need to do this journey they are on.. we will always be there for them, and we will be here for each other...
MLDD, I'm not going any where either..
Lukes Mom, here is a secret I was keeping, when the "Im a Sailor" calls came, my son called his dad, told him he couldnt get through to my phone, so his Dad told him to call me at home.. well, he called his sister instead! I cried all the rest of the day and on the way to Chicago.. at PIR I went to hug him and he pulled away and said" you are over doing it Mom", I was crushed.. when we got back to the Hotel, then he hugged me real tight.. My daughter said when she was 18, in College, she didnt want to hear anything because she knew it all.. I understood that they feel independent and that THEY would need to realize that they do still need us so I told my son that I wasnt going to text him alot, that I would just appreciate a text here and there to let me know he is ok.. hopefully that will work and he will keep in contact daily.. (also im trying reverse physcology..hehhehhe)
Hey....Can someone give me the link to order the division shirts? My sailor ordered his sister one and we would really like to have another.
Mamalama: I found this about the apo boxes. Here's the link:
http://armymomstrong.com/free-military-care-package-kit/
I'm going to put this in my favorites.
MLDD You can get 6 flat rate boxes, packing tape, address labels and packing by calling the USPS 1-800-610-8734 and ask for the military package this is free you can order up to 4 sets. Then the flat rate shipping only costs $11. something for the medium size box.
