OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Thanks for changing the name. I agree with the Christmas countdown. The t-shirts were great! Thanks linda. My sailor is on admin hold til they gt his overseas ppwk ready, the 2 weeks school here at GL, then leave, then Japan. We had a great weekend. Cried when we dropped him off tonite. I will post pics when I get back home.

cincymom:  They are not allowed "leave" between bootcamp and A School.  He will be in "indoc" on the new base and then on "hold" until he classes up.  My son did this too.  Arrived in Meridian on a Sunday night and didn't start classes until about 11 days later.  Some are in hold much longer than that.

They do get leave after A School before duty station.  If they have to go to C School, not sure if they get leave between the two or not?

Well...finally made it home! Really enjoyed PIR and the time spent with our son. He is in Pensacola now and really enjoying it there.

Oh you're kidding me. Man. I feel so bad for her and her family.
Comment by Sherry (MA, San Antonio) on September 16, 2012 at 7:22pm
The really sad thing is I was told by the family that the sailor who assigned their daughter to watch did not have family present at PIR.

Oh! That is so sad! None of us had enough time, but that is just horrible! I'm so sorry!

Praying for your daughter momof2.

Sadly one family barely got anytime with their daughter. She was assigned watch right after PIR for 4 hours ad she was leaving early the next morning.
