Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by VickiW Ship12 Div 147 PIR5/11 on May 2, 2012 at 8:46am: I don't get letters until Thursdays either (Texas), but my SR told me on the phone Sunday that she was not going to send anymore while she is there. So, I guess I should not run to the mailbox on Thursday. I have not stated packing yet, but I plan on doing it this weekend. I really need to start making my packing list so that I don't forget anything.

His son just finished his 4 in the Army so he knows how I have feel. Example... staring at the clock at midnight and having to get up at 430 this morning. Needless to say I slept through the alarm... lol

@steph... I did the same thing myself when someone asked me yesterday. I asked my husband this past weekend to get the suitcase down so I could start. I am still waiting...

My sugarpie,honeybun,sweet pea,dumping! Hes always calling me that. Im too excited to sleep bc I will have a love letter from him in 9 hours if the mail man isn't late again!
