Aww! Yeah I wish it could fly by faster too but I was currently in college but didn't go this quarter so I could be there for him an nice to Chicago that's where his A school will be at so ill be finishing college up there, I'm very excited! But I'm sure he understands! Good luck on your exams!! I'm proud of all of them that are doing what their doing! I think it'll be a great experience I went to one of the graduations before but it was my sisters for air force! Where will his school be at? Do you know yet?

Karri, He's my boyfriend, not husband :)) Lol most definitely, I live quite far from Great Lakes. I wish time can fly a little bit faster... Unfortunately I can not attend PIR :(  I am really sad about this but it's because I am a college student and school for me does not end until May 14 :( I have final exams to take and the dates can not be move... I'm really disappointed in myself for not being able to be there for him but he understands. His decision to join the navy was a really a big surprise so I never thought that this would happen, always thought we  would experience the college life together but I am proud of him and wouldn't want it any other way !  I'm pretty sure that you will have a great experience at PIR!

Linda, that must be why you aren't getting it as quick because you live far from where their at! I live in Ohio so its only like 6 hours from great lakes! I write him everyday but I'm sure you'll get one this week! (: I try to be patient too lol only four more weeks! It'll fly by! Are you going to your husbands graduation?

@BCMomMay -- I totally encountered your experience when my SR called!! I was so happy that I totally blanked out... For weeks I had compiled up with so many question to ask him and when he did called, I forgot everything!! I will definitely take your advice on writing everything down :) And oh yes!, I take my phone everywhere!! Literally!! :)

@Karri.Terry-- Wow! Yay for receiving your letters! ^_^ I suppose that maybe because I live all the in Texas that letters take for ever to reach him. I know when he called me last week and told me that he sent off two letters to me and questioned me why haven't I been replying. But I have sent off so many letters and he haven't received it yet while I only received 1 out of the 2 letters he sent still. I will try to be a LITTLE more patient for the next couple day. I definitely have to stop harassing my mailbox. :)

I have recieved two letters so far should get third one this week an I got the paperwork about getting spouse military id! Linda hopefully you get a letter the next few days! It is hard an kind of impatient to wait for a letter!
Comment by Donna on April 9, 2012 at 6:31pm
Linda....no letters yet..just the official letter. Did get 2 days of calls for security clearance paperwork and passport. Warning...write what you want to ask or say somewhere....I freaked out every time he called and forgot anything and everything I wanted to say....I just was so excited to hear his voice that I went blank....they are pretty tired and my son is not a big talker so he was waiting on me to initiate conversation. I finally just had to tell him I was so excited I did not even know what to say. Luckily, he knows I am a nut and I just tried to boost his spirits and tell him how close he is getting and how proud we are of him. My husband missed the call he tried to make to him....take your phone everywhere!!

Have anyone received the second letter already?? It has been a couple days over a week since I last received my first letter. Just trying to be patient but it gets a little hard! :)
