Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Each day is hard, without you it feels like happiness is not allowed.

I die for the moment to meet you and see you a sailor, so proud.

So now that we are half way there, I pray and cry to myself to sleep

That soon together we will be and forever, together we can keep.

Comment by diannep on April 8, 2012 at 8:05am: Before our wedding, my hubby and I were reminded NOT to lock our knees! My hubby told me that all through the ceremony, he kept thinking: Don't lock your knees, don't lock your knees! HA!

You can see some of the sailors starting to sway...they always have several go down each PIR. My son said he stared straight ahead the entire time...to keep his focus, concentrate on not locking knees, etc. He didn't even look for us in the stands! HA!

Good Morning and Happy Easter! Our Lord is RISEN! What a great reminder of that!

It was my birthday and my son came home from Charlotte and our two seniors came home from their senior trip to Washington and NY City so I spent the day with my family. I hope everyone has a beautiful day and I hope you all are lucky and get a nice call from your recruit :-)
