Hi, I am a new member, I wanted to say congrats to all of our recruits

My son left for bc on june 1st. ship 10 div. 253. I have received some very encouraging letters from him,
This has been a lot harder on me than I thought it would be. I miss him so so so much. I cry all the time. I did not realize we would not get many phone calls. I only got 2 phone calls so far. I am counting down the days we get on a plane and get to that graduation on the 30th. Can anyone tell me if they are grad and go when would they be informed?

He is so sweet...I'm not sure how it all went or how the phone calls home are organized but while talking to him in the first minute I can hear some guys swearing up a storm, Victor asked they guy "Hey man whats wrong" the guy says something about the F'n phone so Victor apologizes to him and says to me "Okay mom, I should talk fast…

Ship 12 Division 259

Hey all! My husband is Ship 12 Div 259 and I was wondering if anyone has anyone there too?? Just curious as to what any of our men/women have shared in letters or if you have heard from them. My husband pretty much just tells me how much he loves me and misses me (which is great!!) but his letters are a little lacking in the details of what they are doing. ;O) If anyone doesn't mind sharing, please do so!

Tracey or Stacey

My name is Conniee. Chanel and I met you at MEPS on July 15th when my boy Travis was being processed. Trying to establish contact as we can probably assist each other in adjusting to our boys leaving for boot camp. It was so nice to talk with you. Hope you had a safe trip back to Sanford. Chanel and I had a discussion, I said your name was Tracey, she said Stacey. Please correct us. Hope to hear from you.

Meps

Ok, today she is on her way to Meps. Was wondering #1 what is the acronym mean? #2 What happens if she does not score high on her ASVAB? She took the practice tests and didn't score very well in Math, electricity and general science. Will they still let her in? What does she need to have to get in and on her way to BC? She wants to be in Media and Journalism, and I know there is a minimum score for this. She is excellent in English and writing and also has a great vocab. However, when she…

The memories keep coming

The memories keep coming, My son is in bootcamp and I think I have relived his entire life so far. I have come to the conclusion that I did the best I could. I have a fine young man and we have a close relationship. He knows he is loved and I know he loves his momma.

When he was in 3rd grade, he loved blonde jokes, I explained a blonde could be male or female and he said he understood that. (doing the best I can) so I would get on the internet for him and…
