Wow, just 2 weeks left. I have loved talking to everyone in this group. You all a great bunch and I feel like I have really made some new friends. Your ribbons will be arriving now. That is always a sign that PIR is very close. Please let me know when they arrive. You don't have to send a message unless you want to, just a post on here and I will see it. Thanks so much for making me a part of your group. Enjoy your PIR and wear your ribbons with pride, I know you will. Have a great weekend everyone. My sailor is coming home today!!!!!

Ok so I have to share a short funny that my daughter sent to me in a letter yesterday. Letter starts out I miss you guys a ton and thank goodness there is only 2 1/2 weeks left when you get this.
Then it says, I want to tell you my bunk mate is hilarious. These are the funny parts of Boot Camp: When your bunk mate wakes you up at 2 in the morning and ask you what she should do because she wet the bed. I woke up and was confused. I told her ask laundry crew so she did. We have been laughing about it everyday with her, she remembers feeling really relaxed, lol.
I thought, really is that what my letter is today, but then again, she wants us to know that it is not all boring.
Hope you all enjoy that...

2 Weeks!! Why is it that I am getting more nervous as we get closer? I am so afraid of getting a call that he will be held back, and the rug will be pulled out from all of us. My husband keeps saying no news is good news, but to me, no news is hell!

Also got a call today. Said that fire fighting is next week and BS the following week. Div 336 has earned a bunch of flags. All recruits got a ribbon because they are enlisted and we are in time of war. Finished his live weapon shooting. He will be at ET (Electronic Technician) and will be at A school or over 200 days at Great Lakes. So good to get to talk to him and only 2 weeks until I can hug him. He asked that I have his aunt bring cookies and goodies that she always makes at Christmas. Sounds like they're all wanting sugar. We leave to head to the midwest a week from today. Yeah!!!

Ohionavymom~sorry to hear about Katlyn. Please keep us posted. I understand how difficult it is when your recruit experiences a set back. But I'm sure she'll be fine and her new div will except her and welcome her just as my sons new division welcomed him. Also the moms here have welcomed me and I'm sure Katlyn's new division of moms will welcome you too! Good luck to your daughter and please continue to keep us posted.
