Hello ladies,
I'm going to wear pants suit too to PIR, Being on bleachers and the cold weather(I'm from Florida) I don't think a dress is going to work....
Comment by Karen ~ Corpsman Chris' Mom on September 20, 2010 at 12:23pm
I was think of wearing a pants suit to PIR, since we'll be on bleachers, and not sure how cool it will be or not be in GL by the 8th! This way if I get warm, I can take the jacket off, or if it's cool , just leave it on!
Comment by jamielyn on September 20, 2010 at 12:21pm
I'm wearing a dress as well, the top is white, with a black sash type thing that goes around the waist and ties in the back, and the bottom is gray. It's dressy but not too dressy, and will look nice with heels! (though I will bring a pair of flats as well just in case!)
We are nearing the end of September!!!!

Honalora, wonderful story, everything happens for a reason, so those songs could have been just the encouragement you did need. They too could have been just for you, god does work in mysterious ways.
My daughter did write in one letter that in all these weeks of no music or tv which I am sure alot of them miss dearly.
She said mom I thought I was hearing things, one morning our RDC had music playing on the loud speaker for us all to hear and it was a current band, they all were thrilled to hear it. She said she thought she was hearing things, but it was such a pick up for her and the others spirit wise. We miss them greatly, but imagine all the things besides us that they really miss and music is one of them she tells me.
Awesome story..

Whew!! Ladies - it's been a long weekend!! Thank you everyone for all the sharing! Honnalora - please don't ever stop posting w/ us!! I've had those 'led'moments and prayed for and seen others have them, and they are a direct blessing from our most faithful and gracious Lord!!! God is faithful - and he loves those who seek him, and is there with those who look!

Shout out to the Navywives - -o-o--h-h-h - can feel the excitement to see your gorgeous new Sailors!!! So glad to know some really connected wives who adore thier husbands!!! Too often we see marriages that are not centered on each other, but the individual, and God is not asked to be a part of it, and then they wonder and curse when it falls apart and they have not desire to work to make it stay together. I have the sincere belive that you will not be among the unlucky - but instead will have the peace, harship, love and trials that will sutane both partners until the end!

cameaowlot - YOU TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!!!!! If you don't make it to PIR w/ your DH to see me - I might just fly over an kick your butt!!!! (in the nicest way possible!! )

GL, Native, helen, Karen, Navywife - & sorry, I told y'all I was bad w/ names before... everyone else I can't page back to mention - thank you all for giving me something to look forward to reading (15 pages, seriously!?!?!?) And laughing and loving and smiling and connecting... I honestly thank God for this group - it has been a blessing to his lady!

We're in the teens!!!!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh - and you crock-pot ladies - Thank you so much!!! Totally hadn't thought of that - but he LOVES crock pot lazagna, I could totally do that !!! I better start another list of thing to take to PIR!!

Lots of love ladies!!!!! Hang in there - we're so close!!! Or - should I say, THEY'RE so close!?!? :-)

Cosby is still doing comedy live? I have to get tickets to that!!! I grew up on Bill Cosby Himself, me & my SR can practically do the skits ourselves - love Cosby!!!
