Karen,
I had tons of trouble in boot camp with letters and phone calls. i missed out on so many calls for whatever reasons, and my mail wasnt making it back home either. my mother was getting quite worried. this may not be the case in your SRs situation, but depending what week hes on, they get -very- busy. and yes, no news is actually sometimes the best news. hang in there.
best wishes

I don't know what is up with my recruit, I havn't gotten a letter or phone call from him in 2 weeks, Ughhh! His girlfriend got a phone call from him last Sat. when our div. made their calls, but neither of us has gotten a lett in 2 weeks, and I havn't spoken to him in 2 wks. I hope he's doing well, and I'm assuming no news is good news!!!! Has anyone been getting letters from div. 333? I still like to hear what's going on in their div. even if I'm not hearing it from my son! He's never been much of a phone talker and has never written letters. I had to pull teeth to get him to write out his thank you notes after High School graduation. So I'm not really surprised he's not writing much.

NavyWife~ you can hide when you are online in FB, by clicking on the options tab in the chat box. Click options, then click on go offline or chat off line, something like that it is. He won't be able to tell when you are online or not online and therefore won't be able to do live chat with you.

I'm going to the gym after dropping boy #2 off at football practice, and I'm going to work like crazy! Maybe I can exhaust myself into not thinking about my SR - what do you think ladies? Concentrate on sore muscles and aching lungs instead :-) Ok, a grin, but that's it!

NavyWife - you did the right thing! Later - when you can talk to J about it if you want, he'll be very proud of you and secure knowing that your marriage comes first in your life. Those kind of life and marriage lessons carry a big punch! when times get tough. You should be proud that you stood your ground! Next time a situation arises, you will have this experience to fuel you. Good job being an honorable and honest person and spouse! We need more in this world who value thier marriage over the rest of society. Way to go!
