HarmonyWorks, I think you need to go by yourself and spend some time w/your SR.....Just a suggestion....I think it will be WORTH IT!

yeah Jamielyn. I was a little worried. I did find it strange how someone could know that! What div is your husband in?
Vickie-I am sorry your son (and you) has to endure such behavior in boot camp. I pray your son hangs in there. They are on the down hill slide. He may need to go to chapel and talk to someone? Perhaps get some encouragement?

Harmony we are almost neighbors I live in the San Luis Valley in San Luis and we will board Amtrack in Trinidad since it's only a little over an hours drive versus the airport in Denver or Alb which is 4 hours away. I'm taking my 15 year old and it only costs $120.00 round trip for kids 2-15 if they are smaller it might even be free.

Harmony,
We live in Colorado are you flying or driving to PIR? We are taking Amtrack just to do something differant.

I thought that everyone had to live on base during any A school. Do I have that wrong?
Comment by PKMom on September 15, 2010 at 8:05pm
liongirl3502, my husband and i watch that program every week, although it's hard knowing my SR may be doing some of these 'things' in his navy spec ops training someday! They focus on a different service training every week.

Vicki ~ I am sorry to hear your son is having issues. There is absolutely NO excuses for grown adults to act this way! Why would anyone steal addresses? I got a letter today also from my son and he sounded great. He didn't mention having any problems at all. He is a pretty quiet person and I know if he knew if this was going on he would tell me as this type of behavior really bothers him. I am so sorry. He is almost done with this part and then he will be heading on the schooling and I know in my heart he will be okay! I will pray for him to have the strength to get through this!

I got letters from my husband today! Dated from 9/8 - 9/12! He is NOT a grad and go!!
-AKmom, my husband is a Nuke, so I guess not all Nukes are g&g!
Overall he sounds good in his letters. Said to get a flag their div needed to score a 4.0 on their test, they scored a 3.99, how frustrating!
One part of his letter I would like to quote: "So last night was definately the best night of sleep I've gotten since I've been here, I love that talking to you can make that happen" (that was written the day after he got to call me!) That made my heart melt :)
I'm in a very good mood now! I can't wait until 10/8 and finally get to be with him again!!!

One of the other navy mom's iIknow said there is a T.V program on Discovery tonight on EOD @ 10 pm but it could be a differant time depending on where you live. It could be interesting.

Vicki--my best to your son. Resend the addresses, and a card full of love. Tell him we are all with him!
