For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it makes you feel any better I've only gotten one short letter besides the phone call so at least you have those to get you through. I'm sure your hubby is getting through by thinking of you and that is probably also why it seems long to him (because he misses you). I wouldn't be too sad about him trying to stay quiet and do what he's told, it's probably just his way of staying under the radar. Even though it seems hard to him right now this is an experience he will remember for the rest of his life. My husband, my dad and every other vet who knew my son was leaving for boot camp had their own story to tell him (kind of like women and childbirth). My husband said boot camp is all about mind games and once they are through that and go to A school things get much easier. Thanks for sharing your division news with us. I love it when people post their news, especially in our division.

Since he missed his div (339) call the other day they let him make it up today!!!!!! He was the only one down there when he called so no screaming in the background or anything, just us :) I am so happy I finally got to talk to him!!!!! I am beyond cloud 9 right now!

I am hoping that they go by as fast as the last 4 NOW seem to have gone, :) Any new news of div 331? Just wondering, my son has not been to newsy in his letters, just mostly asking questions of home,

I don't know if any of you have heard of Pandora jewelry, my husband surprised me a Pandora bracelet before he left for BC with a dolphin charm on it (my favorite animal). Today I went and bought myself another charm for the bracelet, one with a gold anchor on it - I can't wait to show him! I am so proud of him, of all our SR's!

He was there a few weeks then had a problem with his back and was sent to the infirmary. He is now back in training and will graduate with this group. He says hes in ship 04 Div 822. (He's going to be a SEAL) and I would love to meet other girlfriends, wives fiancees; anything(: I call myself a navy girlfriend just because I'm so young, but technicaly I'm a fiancee.
I would love to meet anyone who isin the same boat as me, and am looking forward to PIR(:
