For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by Honnalora on September 10, 2010 at 7:51am: Good gorgeous morning. I say gorgeous, because the sky is really full of color at our house, with a great chance of some much needed rain. Also - in an hour, our countdown clock is going to say "27 days".

Navymom - have a great weekend, relax and get recharged! We are going to miss ya, but I am so glad you are getting some time away. Keep the prayers coming!

I normally take Friday's off, but have meetings all morning. I guess it's good to be busy.

Four weeks from now we will be walking to the hall to see our SR's!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't get a call, but went from work to middle school, and then for a drink w/ hubby, so I hope to high heaven I didn't miss it!! Did get that awesome letter w/ him tellng me that he and another SR lead prayers at night!!! Honestly, what more could I ask for? Really? I asked God to keep my son close and to stay close to him, and the Lord saw fit to answer me with a big fat YES - now, not later!! Blessed, that is how I am feeling right now! Love to all, have to get some zzz-s. Cannot wait to meet y'all soon!!! Keep the good new coming! Oh, and I think one of the phrases my mother raised me with is starting to make a whole lot more send...." When the going gets tough, the tough get going" I used to think as a kid that that meant the tought left........ oh no....it means we kick 'er into high gear and get 'er done!!! :-) Feeling stronger than ever... under the last part, comments..."MOM, YOU'LL THINK THIS IS COOL, ME AND ANOTHER RECRUIT LEAD ORU DIVISION PRAYER EVERY NIGHT" How blessed am I??? And how awesom that just after talking to my God, that I found this letter in today's mail? The Lord is amazing - and I am so thankful for my son! Just had to share.........
