Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Congrats to everyone who received phone calls! Still (im)patiently waiting for my own, lol! I did get 2 letters in the mail today so I suppose that is enough to hold me over until I hear his voice. I'm glad to see the communication is starting to flow better on their end. :)

Me too. I really hope they all straighten up and realize they are working towards the same thing and start to work together. I got letters last Wednesday, so hopefully tomorrow I will get some more with better news, and of course I'm still waiting on his phone call, which hopefully will come soon!

Hi Jamielyn, My son (ship 10/div 338) said that same thing about how does his div get along from 0-10 (0 being low) he said 4. Hope they pull it all together and realize they are working for the same Navy. Really sad to hear I know that can bring down a whole team when there is not cooperation to achieve the same goal. I'm hoping by the next letter things have turned around.

Ok, can anyone tell me if you are receiving conflicting info on PIR? In my sons letter he says bring everyone as long as they have ID's they will get in? Is that right or is he confused?

Vicki, what division is your son in? I saw he said his div doesn't get along, wanted to see if it was the same one my husband is in. My husband is in 339, mentioned in the letters I got last week his div was having problems
