I had asked my son if he know when BS was for Div 338. He said he didn't know yet.

I apologize that I have forgotten the specific moms involved, but a while back, a couple of moms indicated that they planned to light their candle and stay up for the 12 hours their SR's are in BS21. I happen to be on vacation the week of PIR, so that is what I intend to do too. It's from 8pm to 8am.

Thanks for the link NavyWife621!! Ok - how do we know when they are doing battlestations to burn it then? I read something about that as well.... what am I still missing?

Can someone clue me in as to what these candles you're getting in the mail are? Are you ordering them, or are they sent by SR's?

Hi all. Getting caught up on my lunch break.

Cam and Honna - love the prayer!! I got my candle in the mail this weekend so I think I will print that out and set it by the candle.

I am staying at the Residence and will be attending the M&G by myself. Would love to carpool. I have a 7- passenger van and would be happy to drive.

JessicaB - I was thinking the same thing about my SR giving up his phone time to someone else, or having a watch. I am going to just go with that :)

LMBO!! That coundown clock is awesome! Why does it seem to move so s-l-o-w though? LOL Thanks to Honnalora, I believe, for putting that up! Not unobservant NavyWife, just very focused elsewhere! Hope you have a great day!

cameowlot & navywife, Thanks! You're definately not the only one! I work 9-5, but our minds never quit do they? I did join the gym like I was talking about, didn't have time this am, had some vehicle stuff we had to do, hopefully tonight. I guess just trying to keep the day to day stuff rolling... just need to get pumped up a bit & motivated I guess. Sunshine would help, been kind of grey lately. Well, thanks again, and try to keep your spirits up!

Question for all: (ok to post here or send a message back!) Anyone else feel like they just have the blues since thier SR left? I've been sad, tired & rediculously lazy since he left, and know I'm 'in a funk' and just wondering if y'all have felt like this and what you did / are doing (besides this wonderful site) to pull yourself out of it. I know logically it doesn't make sense, but my emotions seem to have the best of me lately, and even though my work keeps piling up and I know I've got to get to it, I am really having a hard time finding the energy.

Lala - That was awesome of you to suprise your sailor with! Good job! I frnd requested you...
Honnalora - you keep giving us reasons to smile and be grateful! Thank you! That prayer poem is awesome! Can I adopt it? :-) Sent a card to my SR today and also let him know I am sending a letter for an SR that hasn't been getting mail and asked him to pass it along. Let him know also that many of us moms / wives / etc are going to be doing this and to pass on our love to the rest of the SR's as well. Hoping my mailbox is flooded today after the holiday weekend with all the remaining letters my SR has written! (yeah right :-) No phone call yet - that will be an extra special treat - I prepared myself before he left to think that I would NOT get any calls, so as long as there is some correspondance, it'll be ok - but I would SO-o-o-o love to hear his voice! Have a great day everyone - keep praying for our SR's, Sailors & families. Stay strong!
Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on September 7, 2010 at 10:15am
Good Morning everyone, I am back from Pensacola. We had a great visit with our sailor. She actually phased up to phase 3 on Sunday morning and she got to spend the night with us Sunday night. It was so nice to actually spend some time with her. The 7 hours we had with her at PIR in July had worn off long ago. We surprised her and took her best friend with us to see her. She hid in a closet. You should have seen our sailor when she saw her , she was screaming, jumping up and down, dancing, and crying all at the same time. It was priceless. :)

If anyone else wants to get ribbons to wear to PIR please let me know. It is not too late. Just send me a friend request. I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.

Honnalora- I love your prayer and that last line is so cute. :)
