So glad others are hearing from their recruits, either written or phone!

WOW - tons of good news rolling through here today. I LOVE IT! Proudtobehismom - praying for you. Glad the news is good, but I now it isn't easy. For all in wait mode - we are with you. None of us will be able to breath easy until we have all heard from our loved ones.

Lord, I pray right now for each and every person is this group. Allow the peace that passes all understanding to settle their spirits. Remove the stress and anxious feelings, replacing them with calm and peace. Let our recruits know how much they are loved and missed. They don't just have their families they left at home cheering them on, they have the entire 10/08 PIR family cheering them on and praying for them. Just as we are united, allow our recruits to be united. Lord, you have created a beautiful team here on N4M, let that spirit of family, unity, and strength take root in our young men and women that you have called to serve. Your blessings be upon us, let the miles that separate us melt away, and fill our hearts with joy! In Christ Name - AMEN!

My son arrived on August 17th. Has anyone heard from a SR that arrived on the same day? I know he ended up at the end of the P week, so some SR's with the same PIR date arrived a week earlier. Let me know please

Love the idea of identifying ourselves at M&G - even in the hotels since many of us are staying at the same place. It sounds like a lot of us are buying ribbons, but something with our user name would be awesome.

I got a phone call, woo-hoo!!! My recruit called my cell at about 3:45 east coast time; it was SO nice hearing from him. He said they were just told that their div (822) were getting phone calls and had about a half hour--I took up about 15- 20 minutes of it and then suggested he call his dad with the rest of it. (I'm such a martyr. :) He sounded so good, his knees are bugging him a bit but he said many of the guys in their div are getting sore knees from running on the inside track (scrubbing on hands and knees, etc) They have DIVMO PT at 4:30 am (extra session run by Seals I think.)in addition to the regular stuff.
Gotta go eat supper and back later to catch up! :-) happy, happy, happy :-)

Proudtobehismom - Thank you! I think I'm going to blow up if I don't hear something soon! Hey - here's an idea for the meet & greet: can we all sign in or wear something w/ our usernames, so if we don't have a picture posted, we can recognize each other that way maybe? As much as I'm missing my boy (never knew I could be this frantic & strong at the same time?!!), it's awesome to be inherriting a 'new family'! Stay Navy Mom Strong!! :-)
