Hey everyone, RTC just posted 23 awesome photo's on their Facebook page! Find them by typing the following in the friend search box: U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command

You will see lots of photos of all the performers at today's PIR (9/2/10), so that will be those recruits in the 900 divisions from several PIR groups.

Also - Craig in PIR 9/2 just posted photo's of their graduation on that groups page. He said he took a lot of photo's, will be posting more later too.

Congrats to all of you who got mail today! I know how you feel and that rush of feelings sometimes is very overwhelming! I was so happy reading them and then just cried as I still miss him so much! It was a good type of cry I guess!! I did feel better knowing that he did like everything - well with the exception of getting up early!! He said he can't wait til the day he can hit that "snooze" button!!!

WooHoo! The excitement is almost tangible for all the letters that are arriving today. Keep the updates coming, great to hear it all.

My son will be carrying a cutlass at PIR. I read up on it, it was interesting.

In high school football, they were the knights and earned sword stickers for tackles etc. His first bodybuilding show this last spring, he won a sword instead of a trophy. Now he is carrying a sword at PIR. Loving it! Great confirmation that he is where he is suppose to be.

A letter came from my husband today! I was a little bummed out that there wasn't anything directly to me in the letter, but it was still good to see some communication from him. There were 3 letters in the envelope and they were all dated Friday, August 27th. He wrote a letter to each of our daughters and he basically told them to help me with the household chores and not give me a hard time while he is away, lol.

He also had a letter for his best friend that he snuck and wrote (he wrote about not wanting to get caught writing it) and he said that he had his teeth extracted and has been out on "sick leave" until the 30th. He also said that he failed his first swim test, but then passed it the 2nd time. He said 3 guys have been sent home already for not passing their PT tests. He said that it's hard work, but he's hanging in there and so glad he made the decision to join the Navy.

His best friend is in DEP for the Navy, too, so he was basically giving him tips on what to study before getting there. I hope a letter addressed to me comes tomorrow!!

Yea dixie7!!! Do you know if your Div is partnered with anyone? Looks like 332 and 333 are together, and 335 with 336. Not sure what happened with 334 unless they are included in one of the others. I'm hoping today is the lucky day for 338!

My son said he loves the food too! He is a super health food nut and I thought he would hate that part of bc. He wrote that he's going to come back fat because the food is so good. His letter mentioned getting 3 meals with something from each food group present and then also getting to go to a buffet. I was so relieved to hear that because I thought he would be getting some sort of mass produced processed crap like from McD's or something.
