For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by brittanysmomShip10Div332 on September 1, 2010 at 7:00pm: I got my call today, my daughter says they get mail pretty much daily now. They sometimes may not get all their mail because it is so loud and if you don't hear your name then you don't get your mail. She says many of the 80 girls in her Div 332 are still a little unruly and still yelling. She said it is jeapodizing their graduating on time. If they do not pull together as a team, they will not attend the 10/8/10 graduation date. She seemed concerned, always some bad apples in a group. I told her she got paid today and she was a little excited. She will not know if she is a G&G until a week or two before graduation. I was able to call her dad and conference all of us together and that was very nice for us all. She broke down a little, but was able to compose herself. I was surprised at how composed I was today hearing her voice. I really think the letters last week helped me. I have literally had some contact with her weekly. My prayers to you all getting your calls and letters. Please pray that her Ship 10 Div 332 will pull it together as a "team" to go to PIR 10/8/10.

YAY Judy!!! 331 and 332 are together (says my daughter) so guess we're all getting our calls...or should have by now.

Comment by Judy Proud Mom on September 1, 2010 at 5:50pm: Got a call!!!! He was able to call his dad and then me so we both got to talk to him! He sounded really good and upbeat, said there were parts he hated, and that it was hard, but not that bad in all. So good to hear his voice, :)

I still need to check her bank acct to see if I (i mean she) got paid LOL...just think of all the money they owe us!!!

Everyone else's joy has me excited and ready to receive my "firsts", too. I hope tomorrow will be just as great!

Comment by OhioNavyMama on September 1, 2010 at 5:25pm: omg i got a CALL!!!!! was screaming her name before i even answered the phone!! we had about 15 min with her and so she got to talk to me and her dad and then was going to call her bf. she was a bit teary but said it was only because she can take being away from us but not having no contact with us...i stayed strong and positive and just kept telling her how proud i was of her and loved her. was so comforting and very surprising to see the caller id with the 847 area code!!! still weepy omg....i can't wait until the rest of you get your calls!!! so excited to see everyone saying I GOT A CALL!!!!! ((HUGS TO ALL))
