aww Sharon!! HUGS!!! that must have been so hard for you to hear her like that...Im really feeling for both of you right now. Makes me sad to know that she was so upset. I know the roller coaster of emotions that we as Mom's are going through but none of us can imagine what kind of emotions they are dealing with everyday. So tough to hear that. My hearts breaking with urs :(

PK.... she called at 3:15 central time. I was inbetween bus runs, thank god and locked my bus door and went on the other side. I saw the area code, and answered TIFFFYYYY.... then all I heard was crying... I was like.. stop.. it's alright..shhh.. so I asked how she was and got her to talking, she's ok, sad, homesick, eating a lot, didn't have any teeth pulled, getting into the swing of things, then told her I was working on my reservations, she started crying again... hmmmm then asked her when could she call again, couldn't understand her at all... the connection was horrible, then I told her I had to go and she said she did too... then I stayed on a bit more until she said she had to now, she started crying, said tell everyone she misses them and loves them and bye .... it was only a 10 minute call... now I'm happy, sad, crying not sure what to make of my emotions right now !!!

Tiffs MOM--Woo-hoo for you on the phone call!!! Still waiting for one from my recruit, but it makes me hope that he'll be calling me this week!!! What time did she call? How long could she talk? Does she sound healthy/happy/content/well fed/rested/gung-ho, etc? LOL
Comment by OhioNavyMama on August 31, 2010 at 9:28pm
LOL i completely understand Honna!! So funny!

Yea I was on there today and I noticed mine and a couple others from our group were no longer on there...they were in the discussions though, not on the wall, so idk why it wouldn't be allowed and especially if this site is Navy related and most all info and links are from approved Navy websites.
Comment by Honnalora on August 31, 2010 at 9:22pm
I saw that on facebook too.
Comment by OhioNavyMama on August 31, 2010 at 9:20pm
OH BTW....

To everyone who posted a link to N4Ms in their division discussions on the RTC page on facebook...they deleted them all...apparently we aren't allowed to post the link to any non governmental websites.

Ohio - I laughed too, after I regained my normal heart rate. I think it stopped, then went into high speed overdrive, ya know like your reaction just after you almost get into an accident. I am sure the story will end up in a letter to my recruit.
