Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I am not a mom but am a loving , supportive boyfriend to a wonderful girl, that has decided to persue the Navy. Looks like I am in the same situation of all of you. I love, miss, and am also very proud of her! I am also hoping it is mail day today! Today will be letter # 16 from me heading to her, along with a few other supportive envelopes that were mailed last week. I just hope she has recieved mine. So if you moms are willing to share a some, tears, smiles, laughter, with a Navy boyfriend, I am here! SHIP 10 DIV 332!

I hope today is the day too... T (Thomas, my son) left on 8/16 from Houston. I havent heard a thing from him. I got his address yesterday from his rtc. I asked if it was the correct one and he said yes why? are you on the N4M's site...I laughed and said yes.. he laughed too and said that it was a great site.

Comment by Wanderlust on August 26, 2010 at 8:57am: My husband left on 8/12 and his grandmother in Michigan got his letter yesterday. It was dated 8/22 though so it seems they just started allowing mail out. Hoping it makes it way to Texas today!

My mailman has been chased by my German Shepherd, so there is no WAY he is going to get out of his truck or come down my driveway!! She didn't hurt him, she just doesn't like hats, or packages, or uniforms, or most men, or other animals, or really anyone or thing besides our family. She has issues. My son left a week later than many of you, so I don't know if I should expect letters at the same time or not. I wasn't expecting anything this week, so if I get one it will be a great surprise!!! Have a super day, everyone.

Comment by Mom3 on August 25, 2010 at 11:32pm: JessicaB- I wonder if I and other moms started a "little" letter campaign and expressed the dissatisfaction the service caused at meet and greet @ the Ramada Inn, with the mention of a campaign to move it to a different hotel would change anything. I am going to write a letter this week end and I will let you all know what the response is. Well I have to get back to my chores. The family is calling. Bye for now
