Well ladies, I am going to bow out of this group now. Too those who supported me, thank you! Too those who were frustrated with me, I am sorry, and I pray you never have to go through anything stressfull. So glad you all had a great visit with your sailors!

This one would be perfect if Grandpa knew how to use the camera in his phone. LOL.

I just wanted to say that I do hope you are all enjoying your weekend with your sons, husbands, boyfriends, etc... I have seen some pics and I am so happy for all of you! Your sailors worked very hard!!

I have not posted on here for a week now as my son was separated last Friday, 7 days before graduation. He has pneumonia/bronchitis, double ear infections and throat infections (although he is doing much better today). He is being sent home though due to a condition in his neck that they found when he went to medical, therefore "disqualifying" him. This was very heartbreaking to me and to him. He was told he can come back with medical clearance. I am not sure what his plans are at this time but I do know they are flying him home to me on Tuesday. It was just very hard to hear this after 7 long weeks of him training and then to be told this.

I want to thank everyone here for all the great information I have had over the past 8 weeks. I was crushed when I realized I would not be going to PIR on 10/08; I can only imagine how my son felt! Who knows, maybe I will one day be back on here with a different PIR date!!!

But I truly believe there are reasons for everything that happens in life! I will keep all of you and your new sailors in my thoughts as they embark on their next journey with the Navy!!

I have made a few friends on here that I would love to stay in touch with via Facebook!! (You three know who you are).

Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend!!

having a great weekend with my son. he has to be back by 8:00, so we have been getting a early start. The navy pier was really awesome. chicago was impressive. will be sad going home tomorrow.

I have been having a perfect weekend with my husband! I am bummed because we bought our plane tickets before we knew they had Monday off, so we were flying out early Monday morning. When we tried to change them after we found out he had Monday off as well, they wanted to charge us $200 per ticket to change the time to a later flight which we can't afford...how ridiculous is that?!? So tomorrow is our last day with him :( But we will make it a great one!

Just realized as we were dropping of our sailor at base, that we are half way through our weekend with him. 2 days down, 2 to go. I need a lot more time than that! But, I will take what I can get and love every minute of it.
