bobsgirlsue...it could take up to 5 hours. They have to check in at temp barracks and unpack and set up as they did on their ships. Is your son staying at GL for A school?

Feel like we need a special prayer tonight. How about one of thanksgiving for all the Lord has brought our young men and women through!

Father God,

Our hearts are full of joy and our spirits are filled with expectation. Here we are, all these weeks later, and still ready to fall to our knees for you. Weeks ago, we were all bowing our heads and hearts to you, asking that you walk with our loved ones. Our desire has been that our presence be there with them and that they would recognize that it is in you and only you that they could find the strength to overcome all the hurdles set before them.

As you are always, our faithful God. You heard our prayers and you answered. Your answer was a resounding YES every step of the way. You comforted us when we were down, and you reminded us that you have been there with them even when we could not be. You are looking for warriors who will continue to stay at their post, whose commitments You and others can depend on, who will finish what they started. Lord, we believe you have found just such a group of young warriors in these fine men and women.

Lord, we ask that each day you will remind our sailors that you have remained faithful to them, to bring them through. Remind them Lord, that you desire for them to remain faithful as well.

When we began this journey - we were on our knees out of desperation. Lord, thank you for causing us to be on our knees again tonight, out of absolute thanksgiving for who you are and what you have done in our lives, and the lives of our sailors. As our sailors grow in strength, allow them to grow in wisdom, character, and a great love for you.

In Christ Name, Amen

Sobe - we all love you and are praying for you!

I just got back from the meet and greet. What a great bunch of families we all have here in our PIR group. So fantastic to give everyone a big squeeze. I haven't smiled that much in ages. For as much as my heart was breaking for the first few weeks of this whole adventure, and tears I cried - I think I am making up for it in smiles.

10 hours from now we will be in the presence of some of the greatest US NAVY Sailors ever! And - in the presence of some of the most loving and supportive families the Navy has ever seen.

12 hours and 2 minutes from now...LIBERTY CALL! HOOYAH!!!
