Well, yeah... I meant like how they have those lockers for people who have A school in GL. He doesn't so I was looking for a work around. Because I can't just have a locker set up and then have to have him ditch his cell phone because he can't take it to S.C.

o.o I'm sorry I'm rambly I'm just scramling. o.O

Hey, I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas on how to get a phone or cell phone to my husband after his PIR so I can talk to him... His Aunt is going to be there until I think Saturday so I should be able to talk to him then but he doesn't leave for A school in South Carolina until Wednesday of the following week and Monday is a holiday. Does anyone have any ideas? :\ I am sorta lost on what to now that I can't physically be there... which was so much easier as I would have gotten those days with him. Now I'm trying to figure out how at least I can TALK to him...

Hakuna matata.....you all crack me up! Breathing....I have not even started packing yet. Oh, well I have 2 more days to do that. I should be flying when the call comes that my son is a Sailor. I hope he leaves a message on my cell.

Hi, everyone. I'm one of the "veteran" moms who tries to jump on the PIR groups along with JessicaBSailor and Sobe to answer questions. I just got back in town today after visiting my sailor PIRed in Feb) in VA....but I think there is a question about someone being able to PIR on Friday if they haven't made their run yet?

If that is the case, believe me....I'm very familiar with that problem after being on this site since Nov. Here is the scenario. If someone got a call today from their recruit (I think T's mom?) that he will not PIR on Friday, don't believe it for sure. I hope you didn't cancel PIR plans. Because he may still make it! They can try up until Thurs morning before PIR, and then he would do BStations on Thurs night with the next PIR group. He would be in the balcony for PIR because he will have been up all night and too tired to march (although I just heard of a female recruit who snuck in her division line to march!). This happened last week to a recruit (now a sailor). Same call....on Monday. I warned the mom not to cancel her plans yet because I what I said above here. She said her problem was that if she didn't cancel or reschedule by Wed, she lost money. No word from him by Wed, so she cancelled. You guessed it....he called on Thurs morning, had made his run, and was headed into BStations that night. It was too late for her to reschedule so they didn't make it. Thankfully, some very kind moms on that site took piks of him for her and posted them on the 10/1 site. He has a big smile on his face! YAH! So, please keep the faith. If at all possible to keep your plans, do. They get HIGHLY motivated this week to get that run done!

Hope this helps to answer some of your questions!
