Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

One thing though. I had not planned on renting a vehicle but public transportation out here is not good. Ramada Inn guests get a discount with Enterprise. 50% off weekend specials 10% off standard day rates. They are picking me up here at the hotel and bringing me to the rental office. Not bad.

Navymom - you are so funny, but I am getting excited too. Don't know if it is because it is a trip out of Florida or just to see my daughter. We talked again on the phone, unexpected call, she seems to have time on her hands and was eating junk food. I feel all caught up with her and don't have too many questions left for her. So excited to see her, just worried about if it is polite to hug or not, I cannot remember all the rules, ugh!!

I am in Chicago- Ramada Inn - getting read for some outlet shopping. The hotel is not that bad. The service is great. Rode to the hotel with a newly graduated sailor, nice young man who was very patient with my questions. We drove to the RTC. Huge. Ladies it is really happening. Tonight is BS21 for my SR. Hopefully I will be able to concentrate at the Field Museum 2morrow

Saturday was my big moody day and yeah tomorrow will be much better...
my new husband of 5 months had a new experience with that...haahaa He drives a truck for 5 days (doesnt stay home) so i guess he has missed out on that time for the last year of us together..hahahaa needless to say he was a little taken back, but not to worry he won't divorce me over it... hahaa

Its okay ship10mom... remember "this too shall pass", and "one step at a time" and my favorite... God grant me the serinity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to chang the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. :) I havent even gone shopping either.. That will be Tuesday night. Tonight I have a bible study that ends at 9pm so tonight is out and we leave Thurs. morn...akuna matta...heehehe had to throw that in hahaha
