Well, I hope that my SR was incorrect then about when he leaves. That is the latest info he was given. I would much rather he leave on Wednesday so we can see him on Saturday! I sent the treats based on what my SR said...other people had gotten them and it was okay if they shared. He had some Necco wafers someone shared with the group. The RDCs can keep the treats if they don't want the division to have them. Hopefully they won't think a mini-tootsie pop and a sugar free lemonade mix will be too extravagant. The package will likely arrive on Wednesday so most of the group will have been through their battlestations and other tests.

Is anybody's SR heading to Ft Leonard Wood for A-school?

Photomom - most RDC's won't allow them to get treats and the entire division will get IT if they do. Don't feel bad, it's better safe than sorry when it comes to bc. My MIL said that she was able to send treats if there was enough to share also, but I think that is the exception not the rule. I think there is something on the RTC page that says they don't want the sr's having these types of things because they are trying to whip them into shape and treats are counterproductive to that goal.

Photomom - I thought the Pensacola guys were leaving on Weds? My sr hasn't told me anything about when he is leaving but I heard from these boards that they were leaving on wed after PIR.

Jamielyn - What you are feeling is totally normal. Did you see my post about all the cooking I did? What person who is in their normal frame of mind would cook weeks worth of food in a 24 hour period? Believe me we all understand how you are feeling. It's like I said on our other discussion that it is harder for wives. I'm praying for you to have strength to get through the next week but if it makes you feel better to let it out and have a breakdown then do it. I still tear up at least once each time I'm on N4m's.

Hi Photomom,Congrats on your son passing BS21 when is he graduating. The only called I received from my son was on 9/9 and he said do not send any food or goodies what so ever. Maybe it depends on the DIV.I hope to hear the Im a Sailor call soon PIR is 10/8

I am curious about something. When my son called to say he had passed BattleStations, he said he was surprised that I hadn't sent him any treats. I told him I didn't think it was allowed! I would have sent stuff from the beginning if I had known that I could. He said it was okay with his RDC as long as there was enough to share. I took a chance this morning and sent a package (flat rate $10.70). I bought two bags of mini tootsie pops (~80 in each bag) and 10 boxes (10 ct) Crystal Light drink mix. I am hoping it is enough for everyone, as I am not sure how many are in his Div total. Hopefully they will all enjoy it. PO said it should arrive by Wednesday. Has anyone else sent treats?
