Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I thought I had posted here...I am back and forth between here and FB. My son called yesterday afternoon to tell us he is a sailor! Ship 10 Div 332, grad and go to Pensacola. He has not gotten plane tickets yet but I have a feeling he will be on a chartered flight. Lots of folks going to Pensacola for A school. So I don't think we will get to visit with him on Saturday. We are flying up from Georgia and staying until Sunday. He has been told that he is leaving RTC on Saturday morning. I guess Friday after PIR will be the best and most expensive hours we have ever spent. Plane tickets for 2 + hotel for 3 nights + park and ride + rental car = mega bucks! 7 hours with my son the sailor = priceless! Praying for the best for all waiting to hear from their SR!!!

So I just had a minor breakdown :( I was writing my husband a letter (I am now just holding onto them and will hand deliever PIR weekend), and starting crying as I was writing it. Seeing all the posts from multiple divisions today about getting calls, I just wish so badly my husband's division had gotten a call. Since he left I have only been able to hear his voice once, which was three weeks ago. I miss him so much - I just wish I could hear his voice..even if only for a couple minutes...
I know I shouldn't be having these moments so close to the end, just need to keep reminding myself there is only a few days left until I am with him again.

khoov00 - it really does seem like every other division got a call...i don't understand why 339 never does :( some have even gotten multiple calls since BC started, ours has only gotten the one...just doesn't seem fair :'(
