Divisions 331 and 332 are doing battle stations tonight from 8 pm till 8 am tomorrow morning. I ask that you keep them in your prayers tonight. Due to me working 3rd shift I will be up thinking and praying for not only my SR tonight but them all. If anyone is planing on staying up with a blue candle tonight and has a extra, and wouldn't mind lighting it for my recruit I would be very thankfull!!
God Bless

Lala I got my ribbons today and they are great!!!! Thanks so much. You do great work... I can tell they are made with a passion.

Thanks guys - some of our SR's have been telling us the 7th, that's the confusion I believe. In the phone call, mine said the 7th, then in the letter dated 2 days earlier, he said the 6th.
Good to know for sure we don't have to worry about BS the night before - morning of PIR!
Comment by RaeBear on September 30, 2010 at 1:52pm
If not, I'm sure there is a dollar store or Wal-Mart where we can buy a pack of candles for super cheap. <3

Righ on khoov00!!
RaeBear - yeah, that's what they seem to think as well - we'll see. I guess we should burn our candles for several days straight to cover it all - and pray like nobody's business!!
We're leaving Thurs the 7th by noon - it's gonna fly from now until then! Can anyone bring thier candle w/ them to M&G so we can have one burning there w/ all of us??
Comment by RaeBear on September 30, 2010 at 12:58pm
I'm almost entirely positive that BS21 for DIV 339 & 340 is on Thursday, October 07, 2010.

Ship10mom - I totally agree with you about the people going into this thinking they would get a free ride. That's probably why they make bc so hard to weed out those guys. When my sr told me two years ago that he was going to sign up for the DEP program I was caught off guard and he asked me why because I knew he had wanted to be in the Navy since he was a little kid. I told him I didn't realize he still wanted to join the Navy because lots of little boys say they want to be in the military but he actually still wanted to. Then, he spent an entire summer studying for his ASVAB test and working out. After he took the test and signed up for the DEP program he took it very seriously and went to almost every meeting (only missing a couple when my husband was in the hospital and one during wrestling). He also spent all his free time working out and even joined wrestling and strong body at school to prepare himself for bootcamp. Even after he graduated hs he still went to every DEP meeting and lots of trips to MEPs and wherever his recruiter told him he needed to go. He even stayed home from a trip to see grandpa because it was right before he was leaving for bc and he didn't want to mess anything up if the recruiter needed him to do something. Anyway, my point is that he had two solid years that he worked towards the goal of entering the Navy and still had some last minute doubts right before he left. I worry about the guys who join on a whim and don't take it too seriously because this is something that is really hard to experience and I think you need to have conviction and commitment to what you are doing. I'm sure boot camp is designed to really make the sr's have a solid decision to either wash out or be a full participant in the Navy so we will just have to have faith in the process.

skeeter- I am so glad you got and you love them. I was beginning to worry that it seemed no one had gotten them yet. I bet a lot more get them today.

My husband seemed to think their BS was the day before PIR, but didn't sound too sure. If they do go in numerical order, I would think our div would be towards the final days though

Holy COW!! Jeez, log off for an evening and look what happens!! Whew!
Harmonyworkd - THANK YOU SO MUCH for the possible news and taking the bull by the horns and giving us the answer to clarify!!! Freaked out for a few minutes there!!
Jamielynn - Thanks for sharing - very powerful stuff! So sorry things are not going well in 339, as the loved ones it is so hard to hear! I certainly hope that the younger SR's there had open enough hearts to get the RDC's drift! I remember ready before BC that they have to break them in order to build them back up - but for us not being broken, it's indescribable to imagine!
There will always be bad seeds, and it's a shame!! Those that give the bad name and bring shame to the others who are worthy of the title.
I have no respect for those going into the military just to try and get a 'free ride' with no comprehension of what it means, and no desire to SERVE thier country and thier fellow man. I do, however, Love, Respect and Admire those service men and women who value our great nation and have the kahonnes to sacrifice thier time and relaxed lifestyle to Fight for and Serve our Country, it's people, and for the rest of the un-appreciative world as well!

As for us "Silent Warriors" - Yes, Let's do our part and pray vigilantly, keep them in in our hearts, let God do his job as only he can, and lets all remember that even when we are hurting or stressed, we need to respect each other and show Love. We need each other as much as our SRs need us.

I am eternally grateful to have this family to lean on and grow with!
