If anyone who is staying at the Navy Lodge would like to go in together on the cost of a taxi/shuttle to PIR, just let me know!

Lala, you are right there. I have the numbers to both if anyone needs them! The Gateway Inn and Suites is $55.00 a night.

I think some may be getting the navy lodge and the navy gate way inn confused. The navy lodge is located about a mile from the base. You don't need military Id to stay for graduation. Just tell them you have a recruit graduating and reserve it in their name. The navy gateway inn you have to have military id to stay there. And I am not positive but I think it is located on base.

Harmonyworks we are staying at the Crossland Economy studios. It was $80.99 a night for a room with 2 queen beds and a small kitchenette.

I did see my daughter in the pictures from graduation over the weekend. How awesome. She said they might actually be carrying the flags for graduation because the group that is just starting practice for the ceremony might not be ready so they might also be carrying flags for their own ceremony.

Well, it's almost close enough to start my packing list. I am going to be traveling this week from Wednesday to Sunday, so I will only have a few days to do all of my cooking and packing for PIR. Time is really going to fly now!!!

So I have a cute letter story. When I talked to my SR last week, he said that I should stop sending letters at the end of the month because he won't get them after that. I have been writing every day, which I love, but have to admit it has been a lot since I don't usually write letters. So, I was thinking I would be off the hook after 9/30. My SR has also been writing to me every day, a paragraph or two per day so I get several days in one letter. But then he said that he will stop mailing his and just give me the rest of the days when I see him at PIR!! Guess I will be writing daily through 10/7 LOL! Gosh I love that kid!

They are good, and really big too. We can't even put them in the regular egg containers. My neighbor comes over every so often and reminds me that they like duck eggs too. Hubby is really ticked off at the dog for stealing them. We fixed the spot she was using to jump into their pen, but the next day it looks like she just jumped straight through another part of the fence so now we need to re-do the whole thing. At least she leaves the ducks alone (they are all female so no babies to worry about).

Cameowlot - I didn't know you have a hobby farm too! I know my sr misses the fresh duck eggs. The dog has been stealing them lately, but we usually get about 2 each day from each duck. My daughter got a very small dog from the SPCA who killed all of our chickens in the spring (he's gone now) so the new ones are just about to be old enough to lay. Everything I make has fresh produce in it.

Hey everyone, we are also staying at the Navy Lodge, and they said our SR did not have to check us in as long as we brought our confirmation number with us that they gave us at time of booking the room - sure hope they are right.
