Hey everyone! I was gone for a couple of days on a ministry trip. Didn't even have time to jump on the computer. Quite the effort, trying to get all caught up with you all. Hope you all have a great week. Just a day and a half until we reach the single digits!

Your welcome! They have rooms with a full kitchen--or just a microwave and fridge--for the same price.

If your interested--of course! This may not be what you were thinking of.

I just spoke to girl named Lisa at the front desk at the Navy Lodge. She said she put a note into my account that I would be there for the PIR, so I would get it at the graduation rate. She said that since my son couldn't leave the base, he did not have to check me in. The number is 847-689-1485.

The Navy Lodge has rooms with kitchenettes in them--65 a night.

The RDC's at RTC are absolutly the BEST in the world. Thank you RDC's!

Thanks for that JessicaB. I never thought of them reading our site. My dad and hubby, who are both ex-military, told me not to mention n4mom's in my letters until after bc but I didn't think about them reading our posts. I told him on the phone that I'm in touch with other moms but that's all I said.

I am wondering if any of you are having other people attend graduation that are not on the list. I read on the website where we print out the parking passes that if you are not on the list or accompanied by someone on the list you may be denied access. My husband, my parents, and myself are on the list and we are staying by RTC but my in-laws will be driving in that morning. Do you think someone will have to meet them to get them in IF there is additional seating? Can we print out 2 parking passes? I'm thinking we are going to take the shuttle over but want a pass in case we change our minds.

Thomas and Adam's mom - You had the same thing happen that I did. My girl is 9 and I thank God for her because losing two at once is really hard. I always knew it would happen fast like that but you don't have any idea how hard it is until you experience it.

Good morning, I mean afternoon ladies! Sitting here catching up on posts; guess we're all a bit antsy about what's going on, with some of us not getting phone calls that other divisions have gotten. As far as I know 822 hasn't phoned for 3 weeks. :-(( I need to make a list of things to ask him in case he does get to phone!

My SRs bedroom is pretty much the way he left it on August 9th; I had grand plans of repainting it during his boot camp time, ha, ha, ha, didn't happen yet!!!

One thing I need to say is we need to be careful about posting any SRs full names on here, the RDCs supposedly read this site--my suggestion would be to let us know that you have a name of a recruit who needs mail (or whatever) and we can message you for the information so it stays private. Just don't want to see anyone there getting in trouble!! :-)

Another warm day here in PA, gotta go get some chores done, kiddos home from college for the weekend and of course the laundry comes home with her! And I promised her some homemade lasagna before she heads back to school this evening... have a great day everyone!
