Hi, everyone! Hard to keep up with this site now that my sailor is in California; he called a few nights in a row, and it's awesome to talk to him; he's waiting for the swcc crew to class up, still a lot of 'questions not answered' but that's the navy way I guess! Did his first beach run in boots the other day, got blisters (which he expected) and so it begins...

Yep - thanks for the vote of confidence Linda! I'm sure they're fine - and very well protected there! Any families in the area that were affected by the storms? We had a tree down across our driveway this morning, but no damage to the house and noone hurt, so we're lucky. I work in insurance, and haven't had any claims come in yet for our area, so that is good too!

Maria and anyone else with loved ones at Great Lakes: Sunny skies today, but very blustery winds. 2 counties north of GL there was an F1 tornado yesterday (3 counties S of where we are). Some tree and property damage. He's well protected at GL, I'm sure they have people tuned into the weather at all times and they have warnings well in advance and take no chances. Probably no safer place to be. ~linda
