Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Jessica, this happened to a man named Chris Jason with his daughter. They too were there in GL only to find out that his daughter could not PIR. They were allowed 2 hours with her at the Visitors Center . They did sit through PIR because they thought she was there! She did finally graduate the next week. Praying that your son makes his run today or tomorrow and will be at PIR on Friday! But if not, ask his Division RDC's after PIR if you can see him.

Definately prayers to Navywife!!! Where is she btw?
How aweful for them, and terrifying I am sure - is there anything they can do with a vericose vein like that? I hope there is a surgery to quickly fix it!!

When my daughter called yesterday she said she got up early to try and help some of the other recruits pass their run. Hopefully with some added encouragement they will get through this !

Good Morning Everyone... I had my blue candle burning all night!!! I don't know if T was with his division or not last night. Everytime I woke up, rolled over and see the flame I would pray for ALL the guys and girls going thru BS and their final tests. I pray T made it on his run. I hope to get a "Sailor" call today if not I will be burning my candle again tonight.
Ship10- I can't wait to give you a big hug. I totally relate to all you say...You are as crazy as me... :)
Mel- my son called on monday saying he had to shave 8 seconds off his run time to pass. We are still flying out tomorrow knowing that it is all in God's hands.
I have a question- If T doesnt pass and doesnt graduate this Friday then we won't be able to go to the Training center at all right? Will we be able to see him?

Hey Have my head buried in work so I can leave tomorrow but my heart and mind(what is left) is with our SR's and this group...prayers for all. Can't check in as much but do know I am trying to follow. Can't wait to hear about Sailor calls. Mine won't be till tomorrow and I will probably be on plane. Voice mail will be wonderful...all I need to know.
