OK - my phone is FUBAR'd. Not cool. cannot dial or do anything. It's on and has a pretty little picture on the front - but that's it.
Gonna check out the AT&T store today, hopefully I can get a loaner or have to bite the bullet and pay for a new phone. I'm not even going to ASK that question... you know the one...

wow, BRAVO ZULU to all of America's newest SAILORS.
I just got home from work, and after reading 28 pages (whew!!) I am laughing and crying and frankly, too nervous to sleep today before I go back to work again tonight---but I'll have to.. (there's NO way I'm sleeping Thursday during the day!) My call will come Thursday afternoon.
I just have to share something that happened at work..one of my patients had a VA bracelet on. I asked him about it and thanked him for his service. Then for no reason,(of course there's a reason) started getting misty eyed..and I had to explain I was waiting for my son to graduate from bc on Friday. "He will be fine...he has you behind him." I left his room before I TOTALLY lost it.

to Judy and Melanie and anyone else out there waiting on health issues and test passing....your SRs will be fine. They have you behind them.
Prayers and hugs to you. and also to those who are traveling.

aka and meow - thanks!

Definately seeing a bit more clearly this morning! :-)
Whew ladies - ONE DAY!!! YIPEE!!!
I simply cannot wait to meet you all! OK, I cannot wait to see my Sailor!! (I HOPE!!) Trying not to count chickens B4 the eggs are hatched, but they've been incubated for so long....they just have to hatch!!! :-)

Have a beautiful day y'all!!
Comment by Mom3 on October 6, 2010 at 8:03am
ship10mom-I never got a n4m shirt done! So if you are missing something on yours-no stress! You are the one we want to meet anyway, not the shirt. I can SO follow you. I did not quite have a dramatic change to a believer, more like a WOW moment. But I can pinpoint it too!!!
And even though I spent a whole day just packing and getting ready I forgot conditioner, my sailor's suitcase, the ribbons (hubby is bringing it) and MY PURSE! luckily I had packed my wallet in the right carry on. Daughter forgot toothbrush. We are stressed b4 we go but as long as it is not life threatening...
see you Thursday
Melanie hang in there, I remember reading on here the similar story and all was well in the end for the Sailor, but the parents had changed the ticket and did not make it. I am in Chicago right now-it is beautiful. Lots to see.
Hopefully all calls are made b4 3 pm today (mine was at 2:30 pm)

Congrats to all of your new sailors who will be calling home today!
Bravo Zulu!

Melanie: Praying for you and Judy that both of your recruits make their run by tomorrow morning and are able to go through BStations tomorrow night with the next PIR group. That will mean balcony-sitting for them during PIR, but at least they will be there and they will be sailors!
