For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Sorry all, I'm running out of witty things to say - getting t-i-r-e-d! :-)
I'll be in the car or GL when we get our call, so won't be able to share the news - but we'll all be seeing each other shortly or during, or the next day - so it's all good! khoov - totally agree w/ the mass produced card scam! :-)
I'll have my candle lit for 335 & 336 - hopefully DH doesn't blow it out in the morning again - big dufus!
Hey all, please join me in asking God to give us a safe trip. The only vehicle available to go has a break caliper that keeps locking up, and no time or $$ to fix it - DH is about out of his mind, and I asked God on the way home to take the anger and bitterness out of my heart, now I'm left with just hope and faith, 'cuz that's what we're going to be runnin' on for the next 6 days! Oh - and a new set of tires that set us back 1/4 of a months pay! (Still working on the bitterness) :-) Much to be thankful for though, I really do know that. So - we'll see you all as soon as we can - off to make some Division markers for the tables @ Ramada and some PB cookies! Night ~

Congrats to all the divisions that passed today. What a great batch of Sailors the US Navy is getting!
My prayers are with 335 and 336 as they get ready for BS. My candle will be lit again tonight.

Judy, thoughts and prayers are with your SR and your family; how sad you must feel, but know that it will all work out in the end. It just stinks how much the airlines charge for changing days, can I suggest talking in person to a manager at the airline to see if your story can maybe gain some kind of reduction in the surplus fee, it's worth a try....

My son's a SAILOR! Got the call about 2 hours ago, then I was so excited, I promptly took a nap. ha,ha. Actually I did call my husband and tell him; my sailor is div 822, and we only had about 15 minutes to talk; he said the division before took twice as long on the phones so they had to cut their times short; but it was sooooo nice to hear his voice, sounded like such a man; but exhausted!

Judy, sorry to hear about your son and sometimes we don't understand why things happen but God does know what's best for your son and you will find out when he graduates next week...We will continue to keep him in our prayers and for God to do his will!
