Yes, thanks so much for all the kind words we do love feeling appreciated :-) You guys have been a great group and I have enjoyed getting to know so many of you.

Remember if you are driving to the base avoid the far right lane when lining up. That lane ends and you will save yourself some wait time by by-passing some of that traffic.

Also when you get into the PIR hall take advantage of that time and take some practice shots with your camera and change the settings until you get the best pictures for the lighting and environment you are in. Your photos will turn out much better and you will be glad you did.
Most of all, Congrats to all of you and to all the new Sailors, have a wonderful time and please travel safely.

I would be happy to help as well.  I'll reach out to you.  Training you say....GOOD!

GoatLady!  Thanks so much.  Thanks, Diane.  Friend request/private message me and I will explain it to you.  Thanks so much for stepping up!

Diannep - I would love to help out.  Just let me know what I can do.  I am still "wet behind the ears" as my son just became a Sailor yesterday.  But I would love to do whatever I can.

Another Diane!

Unfortunately, none of us N4Moms will be at PIR/MeetNGreets.  Unfortunately, we all live too far away and remember....we all have sailors already.  So....blessings to you all in your travels, MeetNGreets, and PIR!

Comment by diannep on February 8, 2012 at 1:47pm

You all are very welcome...we N4Moms veterans love helping.  But we need help!  So please consider "paying it forward" by staying on the PIR sites once your sailor moves onto A School.  You will be trained by the ladies on here...for info you may not know already so you can advise others.  So please let us know if you would be willing to join the N4Moms veteran team!  We would so appreciate it!

Comment by GoatLady (USS Theodore Roosvelt) on February 8, 2012 at 1:05pm

I, too, want to thank all the Veteran Moms for all their help and support.  If it hadn't been for Navy for Moms, this whole experience would have been so terrifying.  But thanks to you all I had some idea what to expect and when.  And you all were there when I need someone to turn to who understood what I was going through.  I can't thank you enough.  Hopefully, I can pay it forward!

And tomorrow I leave for Chicago to see my sailor!!!  May God go with you as you travel to see your sailors!  Looking forward to seeing you in Chicago!!

Comment by rivermom on February 8, 2012 at 12:48pm

We are leaving early tomorrow morning for GL also.  Allow me to add my sincerest thanks to the veteran Moms for their wonderful advice and encouragement.   This has been a wonderful on-line experience!   I hope to see some of you at Sarge's.  If not, God speed to you all.  And may He continue to guide our Sailors with His loving care.

Comment by Paula on February 8, 2012 at 12:08pm

I'll be headed to GL tomorrow evening.  If I don't make it to the Meet & Greet, know I am wishing that I was able to be there.

Yes, thank you to all the Veteran Moms who have been such a huge help through this crazy emotional rollercoaster.  You are great women.

Let's hope that as we continue on this path, we pay it forward as well.  I know we'll be splintering off into our specific groups, but it's been a pleasure sharing the experience with all of you ladies.
