The RTC website says to check with the Visitors Center...but that's a little difficult. What about from the handicapped parking to the VC. Hmmm...I would still ask the gate guard ...plus there are Sailors all along the route to the parking garage.

Do you want to rent one just for PIR or for the weekend?

If for PIR they have them there (they do say first come first serve...I would hope they have enough). You let the gate shack guard know and there will be Sailors assigned to assist and escort you. You will be allowed to sit directly on the parade floor in front of your Sailors division. One guest may sit with the family member in the wheel chair...they will bring you a chair.

As far as having one for the whole weekend...hmmmm....I am thinking call Sarge and see what he says! Then would you tell me so I can pass it on in the future! LOL

Terri - It's possible to go that close...I have seen some go as late as Wednesday.

My sons PIR was on a Thursday May 26th and we had a group go through on Tuesday...but not the Performing group...that is too much for them.

So they will have plenty of time to rest up...they go to bed earlier after BS...and most say.. they look forward to it! After BS21, the excitement of passing, calling home and loading up on Red Bull and junk...they are ready!

Good morning everyone!. (it's still morning here on the westside) I just want to thank everyone again for being very understanding with my little ordeal. I was worrying because my son didn't pass the running on his first 2 PFAs. I afraid that he didn't pass the final PFA either. But I received his letter and said he passed the PFA. That took a big chunk off my shoulder. and knowing that all 062 passed BattleStations... I can start packing now. Looking forward to meeting all you ladies with SR graduating on 2/10/12 and a BIG BIG THANK YOU to all the veteran moms, you guys have been so helpful and kind and understanding... Have a super super weekend and enjoy the Super Bowl Sunday, either watching the game or commercials or going shopping... have fun. I will be getting organized, packing and checking my list for our PIR trip :)

You probably would have already received a letter if your recruit is an honor graduate. I know one mom in this group has already gotten a letter like that :-)
