Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by KaylaC on February 4, 2012 at 3:03pm: Brandon's girl- I believe all honors awards are posted on the Navy RTC website two days prior to graduation. I don't think they get to call home to notify anyone though.

I highly recommend Lala's workmanship to everyone. There is no way I could have done this myself. I am grateful-- one less item on my "to do" list before PIR. Thanks again Lala!

Comment by KaylaC on February 4, 2012 at 2:55am: Malia-I just wanted to let you know you are not alone. My Husband is in div 805 and apparently no one in that division got to call home. His BS was Tuesday night. I guess his division bet their instructors they wouldn't get a hit on their inspection and if they did they would lose their "I'm a Sailor" phone call. Well they got hits on their inspections and NO PHONE CALL. So there are about 38 other loved ones out their that did not get a call. We know how you feel. Don't stress, he would get to call is something were wrong or if he were at risk of not graduating on time. Stay strong girl. Less than a week away.
