Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by MSmom on February 4, 2012 at 1:16am: Malia. I know the frustration you are feeling. I can guarantee you he will be allowed to call. My son did not call after battlestations because he had been set back but he did call later that week. I know of other moms who did not receive calls because their sailor had watch or had to go to medical. The waiting and not knowing is hard. Rest assured if something was bad wrong you would already have been notified. Hope you get good news soon

I'm hoping that they can confirm that he is a sailor...unless you get a call over the weekend from him, which you might. I'm so sorry that you have had to wait so long. But, yes, this has happened before---many times. Hang in there....I know it is not easy...hoping that you hear something soon. And I do believe we heard, like FTLW said, that all of 62 passed?

I believe all of them should be delivered by tomorrow as long as the post office cooperates lol. If not tomorrow for sure by Monday. Even those who ordered yesterday have already been mailed :-)
