Very well said MCJane! I hope your turn comes fast and yes, it is SO exciting for the day before, the day of and the day waiting for that call! My heart got a really good workout! You are very right though, this site has been very helpful and comforting. A wealth of information available! I can only hope to find a group for each next big step my daughter takes to have the answers and expertise given here. Thanks to all of you!

I am very happy for all the new Sailors. We have a few more days to wait but I am certain our calls will be just as exciting. I want to reflect for just a moment and remember what it was like when we all first started this journey just waiting and wondering if we would ever get this far. Well we are all almost there. Whew...it was a fun ride still is. I am looking forward to meeting some of you at the Meet and Greet and hope as our SR's or Sailors soon to be are moving about their careers we will once again cross paths. It has been a blessing to have somewhere to go and to touch base with others going through this journey. From the bottom of my heart I want to say thank you to each of you. For the vetrans on here that helped us thank you as well. I hope to play it forward and help those coming up behind us.

Mistakenly posted my "I have a Sailor" msg in the division specific forum instead of here..... We DO have a Sailor and couldn't be more proud. Thanks to everyone here for the support throughout the past 2 months! Congratulations to all who have received their calls and continued prayers for those still waiting. Can't wait for next week!

Congrats to all the new Sailors and all the new Sailor Moms, Wives etc. Now maybe you can breathe a little easier. :-)

Comment by Malia on February 2, 2012 at 7:13pm

Thank you diannep, you have been such great support. So grateful for you, FTLW and Lala. Your wealth of knowledge, and upbeat attitude keeping us moms, wives, GFs... sane. Thank you a millions... also thank you to everyone in this PIR group. We, along with our SRs, have been through many ups and downs these last 2 months, but with each other's support, we made it through. I am sad that not everyone made it and my thoughts and prayers are with them. Anyhow, I, myself, haven't received my "I am a sailor" call yet (Div 062), but with diannep's reminder "no news is good news" I am keeping my positive thoughts. My SR will call, soon! Looking forward to seeing everyone at PIR and possibly at Sarge's Meet and Greet :)

Malia:  Still go on the theory "no news is good news".  Your sailor may have had watch during the time that division called.

Congrats to the new sailors!
