Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by diannep on February 1, 2012 at 8:39pm: Ok, I'm totally confused too. You mean they actually had BattleStations on a Tues night, a week before PIR? Ok, ladies...this is a first in the two years I have been following the schedules. They have never started that early!

So, if 061 went, so did 062. Brother divisions. So expect calls from them too!

Ok..so change is GOOD! :-) Yes, they go in numerical order, except the 900/800 groups go randomly. A lady in another PIR group just reported that their 900 division is going on a Wed night...that has never happened before either. So...looks like things are changing!

Malia: If they haven't passed their PFA by the time their division goes through BattleStations, they usually have to call you.

(my son fail his first 2 PFAs) I am just wondering if he did BS21 with his division last night. Haven't received his "I am a sailor" phone call yet, so worry........

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on February 1, 2012 at 7:33pm: No...not necessarily...since they don't have a brother division they will go along with one or two other divisions. Right now it has always been that RTC puts through 2-4 divisions a night when they have BS21.

Now...the regular divisions usually go in consecutive order...but that can be changed too, blah, blah, blah...you know the drill.
