very good point, NJBlasian, about anyone knowing what they are wearing/not wearing in the hotel room.

Last year, my son couldn't wait for his boxer shorts. Somehow he got 4 or 5 pair on under his uniform pants and then had them with him when he went off to A school. I'm not aware of anyone questioning him about wearing them.

lol, the last thing my Sialor wanted to do was hang out in a hotel room or pool. She had been cooped up on that base long enough and she wanted to see what was waiting outside that fence. And of course she wanted to shop and see Chicago but with only one day we stayed in Gurnee and spent most of the day at the mall. Of course the first thing she bought was new underwear. She even went to the bathroom and changed out of her "granny panties". I wonder if she would have been "out of uniform" lol.

Also, MSmom has been staying on to help out us veterans...though I still don't think I am a real vet until I have been on here a year...I wanna still be a Jr. Vet.

Then I have a confirmation! I will be doing my homework later today to have my posts reflect what is in the new Family Guide and will let you all know  when it is done.

I just found out there have been changes to the Family Guide put out by RTC.

One thing I noticed is this:

"Recruits must remain in uniform at all times in public."

Has been changed too:

"Recruits must remain in uniform at all times."

So, it is looking like no civilian clothes are allowed at all.

 The Guide has gone from 6 pages to three...bare bones basics. THERE IS NOTHING DRASTIC SO FAR IN THE CHANGES THAT I HAVE SEEN...JUST SIMPLE THINGS LIKE THE ABOVE.

They got rid of the term Grad n Go several months back and went to Friday and Saturday Departures...now THAT is gone too. There is NO title and they just talk about Departing Recruit Training Command after PAss-in-Review and explain the diferences.

I will be updating my posts later today and I will also be printing up copies of the old and new to compare the changes in info. I will do the posts and links first...the link to the old Family Guide does not work.

My SR said they flagged all their inspections.  I assume that means they passed, but do they get something special?
