Okay...can't have that! LOL I will copy and paste what I can and then also the links!

This first link is to the RTC website FAQ. I opened up the pertinent question but it may not do that for you. If it doesn't the one you want to look at is titled,"How many guests per recruit are allowed to attend Pass-In-Review?"

http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/faq_family.asp

Here is the body of it:

Q.

How many guests per recruit are allowed to attend Pass-In-Review?
A.

Four seats are guaranteed per recruit; however, children 12 years old and younger do not count against the four-guest maximum. The graduating recruit is responsible for identifying those individuals to be placed on the access list. Please coordinate with your recruit via letters regarding who will be on the access list. No additions, deletions or changes will be made to the access list the week of graduation. The four guests on the access list will be admitted into the ceremonial drill hall first. Additional guests not on the access list will have to wait inside the Visitor Center until after the start of the ceremony at which time they will be allowed into the ceremonial hall if additional seating is available as space permits. No additional seating can be guaranteed.  PLEASE DO NOT CALL FOR ADDITIONAL SEATS.  All visitors must have valid photo identification. This requirement includes children (school ID, Social Security card or copy of birth certificate). Please be aware that security may deny base admission to guests NOT on the access list if they are not accompanied by a guest who is on the access list

This next one leads to the Family Guide put out by RTC:

http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/fam_guide.asp

Click the link when you get there and it will open up a PDF. Unfortunately, it will not let me copy and paste. I boo-booed as far as it saying that it talks about extra guests but it does talk all about PIR on pages 5 and 6. It talks about the access list on page 5 left hand column paragraph 5 and then ID requirements on page 6 under "Accessing Base" paragraph five.

Arent ex's great !!! UGghh! My ex is coming as well and I hate the thought of sharing my SR with him for part of the time......we dont get along well enough for us to be a "family" for the occasion! My current husband has been  more like a father to my SR than his blood father!!!

Comment by Oceans3 on January 21, 2012 at 6:49pm

Yes, FTML I would like the links.  My ex husband is not believing me when i tell him how it works.

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on January 21, 2012 at 6:14pm

diannep's comments are all correct...if you would like the links to where RTC posts it on their official website (not the FB page) for recruits and families I can provide that for you.

Comment by DarcieR (Ship 11 Div 62) on January 21, 2012 at 6:07pm

I wish you could like comments on here.. Facebook has ruined me.

Comment by diannep on January 21, 2012 at 6:06pm

That should be fine.  They even accept school photo ID.

Comment by Oceans3 on January 21, 2012 at 3:30pm

thank you diannep, and when you say proper ID, her state issued learners permit is all she needs right?  Or does she need another form of ID?

Comment by diannep on January 21, 2012 at 3:24pm

That is correct, Oceans.  She most likely will get in with proper ID..and may not even have to wait.  Get there early.  Be on the 6:30 shuttle if possible or in the car line early.  Most all extras will get in.  But sh may have to wait in the Visitors Center (which is inside the front gate).  People ask the question on the RTC FB page and that is what they respond.  Only the 4 on the list are guaranteed to get in by the Navy, but they will tell you that most extras should get in eventually.  I know of a PIR group that had 13 divisions in it and all extras got in.

Comment by Oceans3 on January 21, 2012 at 2:59pm

I have a question that I know has been answered, but I am wondering if it is in writing somewhere.  My daughter is coming to the graduation with us, but she is not on the list, so what I think I have read is that she can come and wait in the visitors center and if there is room she may be able to get in to graduation.  Is this correct?  and does it state this anywhere like on the RTC website or something?

Comment by Oceans3 on January 21, 2012 at 2:31pm

Isn't it the best day ever seeing that countdown go down to the teens!!!  We are getting so close. I sent out the questionnaire and got it back plus a very long letter written on the backside of the pages of the questionnaire.  So the questionnaire might be the ticket Navy Friend because then your friend will have the paper right there to use. Good luck!!
