Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

The ribbons are the PIR ribbons that LALA makes...with name/div # on them, ordered by the families. They are navy blue and beauitful! I'm thinking that most of you will do both the ribbons and the scarves...contact LALA if you want to order the ribbons.

You would think that we are the biggest wimps in the world seeing how people dress when it is just in the 50's (although our humidity makes it feel a bit colder). I'm a rebel...so still wore my shorts when walking at 5:50 this morning for 40 minutes...but DID put on a jacket! :-)

I agree with nominating FTLW for a volunteer award! She is our newest N4Moms veteran on here...but she is making up for lost time! I am so grateful for our "team" of ladies helping...because all seem to have their own expertise in certain areas as well as common general knowledge that we can share with you all. FTLW is also our only 2011 N4Moms veteran at this point...the rest of us are from 2010, and I believe Arwen is from 2009?

But, whatever...we all love helping on here! But FTLW....you go beyond the call of duty and it is so appreciated! THANK YOU!
