brandon'sgirl - Don't be sorry! If you have questions...ask away....Please...we are all here to help!

Your individual divisions/or whole group are discussing wearing matching scarves to PIR to identify each other.

The ribbons are made by a veteran N4M  Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons (clickable link to her page). Go to her page and you will see some of them...also info under "About Me" (scroll down her page) to contact her. She will most likely be back on later today to answer you directly!  Or send her a private message to her "Inbox".

i'm sorry, I am new to all this.

Comment by brandon'sgirl on December 31, 2011 at 5:31pm

Hey can someone fill me in on what the ribbons and scarfs are or mean?

Comment by FireTeamLeaderWife aka FTLW on December 31, 2011 at 4:26pm

Folks...and especially new members...there a LOT of discussion forum topics with info for you. Click "View All" at the bottom right of the Discussion Forum area...it's just up top of the comment box here. Then scroll through the pages. here is some info on getting around the Discussion Forum area.

The Discussion Forum area will only show twenty titles at a time. It is also set to show the "latest activity". So whatever has just had a reply added to it will "bump" up to the top. Whatever is at the bottom will disappear. So, if you want to see more click, "view all" at the bottom right hand corner of the discussion forum area. It is right up there above the Blue Comment Wall bar.

To "bump" up a discussion to the first spot of the DF area when you don't really want to add a reply...in other words someone is looking for it...just type whatever you want in the reply box and click "add reply". I just type one letter and add the reply. Then get rid of it by clicking the "x" in the top right hand corner. The discussion will stay up there at the top without your reply. It's because it has had "activity".

When you view a DF the first post ever made will be the first page. To get to the most current reply, click “Last Reply”.

You know AVfamily...THAT'S a very good question!

I asked my son and he said they cleaned the ship...then some have said they stand watch...at PIR they have lots of duties, from guarding people to guarding food...making sure things run smoothly! So, I think they just help do a lot of everything! There are specific recruit positions at BC and then there are all these other things that need to get done and you can't have a Petty Officer for everything...or can you? LOL!

Here is a chart of the COC (Chain of Command) at BC for the Recruit Petty Officers...also a link that you can click that will lead to the explanation of them. Maybe Arwen has more insight for the ship staff!

Just click and it will open into a new page and you can zoom in.

Comment by AVfamily on December 31, 2011 at 4:06pm

What does it mean when they get selected to "Ship Staff"?

Thanks ladies, I look forward to making the ribbons for you all to wear :-)
