My son didn't mention about civilian clothes. But I will just bring some anyway, just in case.

He said do not even bother to bring them.  Maybe you CAN - but I just talked to him Thursday and again yesterday and asked him both times.  So he must not have been told he cannot travel in uniform.

memphis.mom - So yours said NOT to bring street clothes. I know I talked about the change in the Family Guide and wondered if it was happening that way.

The Sailors get an in-depth briefing...and will be told there do's and don'ts...so take their lead.

G's Mom - Odd about the no uniform though to "A" school...unless maybe if he was traveling alone? (Don't post if he is or not though please...just to be on the safe side ;-))

That is really strange Jen, normally they make them travel in uniform from bootcamp. latter they are told not to travel in uniform but not from bootcamp ever that I have seen. Please come back after PIR and let us know if he did travel in civilian clothes. Thanks

When I spoke with my son he asked me to bring street clothes. His RDC requested he not travel in his uniform. Too much attention drawn. I thought this was worth sharing because I had not planned on bringing any of his actual clothing until he told me this. Anyone else hear this from their Sailor?

Yes ColtersMom. I could not open the page from my Mac. Went to work and opened it and printed it no problem. I would suggest a different computer if you have access to one.

Awe that is so sweet that he was worried that you were worried <3 I am so happy for you. I know it is a weight off your shoulders :-)

We are having some pretty awesome weather here too. We really enjoyed the warm sunny April Day today, just a little scared that February will come out of hiding.
