Would you be able to put 062 on one end and the anchor on the other? I do not want to make it too difficult.
They can order shirts for their whole family if they want :-)
As for the Appliques I think maybe a lighter shade of purple would look good or like you say white would as well and probably lite blue. The applique can be any basic design that I can draw or trace as long as it's pretty simple like the anchor and not too detailed. A heart would look good as well. Let me know what you have in mind.
I love it!! What do you think would be a good color to go with our purple for the icon.. White? Light blue? Navy Blue? And what are all the icons are there to select from? Sorry for the questions! Just so excitable and they are awesome scarves!
Arwen- Thank you for the information on the shirts! And are they allowed to order more than one t-shirt?
Division flags are designed by the recruits themselves (your recruits probably just finished designing theirs), and often include a cartoon depiction of some funny event from early in boot camp, or a symbol or symbols they decide mean something to them.
When they are done recruits can order a division t-shirt featuring the flag they designed. It's a black shirt, with "U.S. Navy" written vertically in blue down one side of the front, and an image of the division flag silk screened on the back. You can also order a shirt or shirts at PIR.
This is the juniors size babydoll version, it is also available in regular mens' t-shirt cut, and as sweatshirts. This particular shirt is from my son's division, yours will have a different design on back.
That is awesome, it is amazing how much better you feel after a phone call. I hope more of you get them very soon :-)
That is very neat, Malia! I was so caught up in everything on the phone today I forgot to ask about that! That is really cool to know that. :) Eee! I am so happy right now I could burst. I think I am on a hearing-my-husband's voice high. Oh my. Thats really cool, thanks Mal!
It was very good hearing from my son. I missed the first 5 minutes also, because I was at work and had my phone on vibrate. He sounded really good and happy :) said he is doing well (except for running- he fell the running test:(
He said things are getting easier now, and a little boring because it getting to be too routine. He also mentioned about their scholastic flag (I guess that what they call it) because the whole division did very well on their test.
Darcie, so my son is working with your husband, both of them are division Mail Petty Officer. He said he really like being the "mail man" it's fun and it gives him opportunities to get out of the barrack and bring joy to others. And yes, he also knows about you.
Also, He told me that the people that wrote to their SR's about me having their sailor's say hello to my hubby/their mail man has gotten to him! He has heard from 10-12 people so far and they think it is really neat. :)
And I told him to spread the word about n4m.com to the other SR's, so we can get some more moms/family members on here for our group!
Yea, I got my call earlier, I missed the first time he tried so I only got 30 minutes but it was still great!!! He said the first call he got last week was for doing really good on a test, only one other person got that as well from 062.. and said it was about 5 in total that earned one. He already has another 10 min call in reserve he can use for whenever, he is saving it for a bad day. So proud that he is doing so good. ALSO! 62 is doing so good they earned a flag!!! Go boys go! :)
